After occupying blogspace for a few days with no visible posts, we're finally here with a post. We're a bit like the old hutch campaign that way (the one with the mysterious billboards of half faces)
Who are we?
A private trust started by Lasya & Lavanya - daughters and disciples Sri M V Narasimhachari and Smt Vasanthalakshmi Narasimhachari, renowned gurus and performers of bharatnatyam and kuchipudi.
'Rasa vai saha anandaha' - 'Rasa is supreme bliss'
The upanishads tell us that Rasa or the experiential aesthetic of art is supreme bliss. Soham translates to 'That I Am'. Rasoham literally stands to mean 'I am the essence.
What do we do?
Rasoham aims at establishing an artistic community that gives back even as it takes. Carrying on in the traditon on giving ungrudgingly that we have learnt from our gurus The Narasimhacharis, Rasoham wishes to support the cause of the arts. We also aim to establish a community for the sharing of knowledge and communication between the artistic community.
